The Turbulent Times is a project created for my Interaction Design course with Jamal Thorne. I created this website as a spoof on today's news and media sites. It comments on the media's manipulative biases and the contrasting messages coming from the left and the right. The Turbulent Times exposes those biases by showing both news stories, hoping that somewhere in the middle is the truth.

A landing page asks you about your political preference. Based on your answer, you are led to liberal news, conservative news, or comparative news. If you land on either the liberal or conservative news site, you are given the party's respective headlines and articles but are also encouraged to read the other side's version. Comparative news is for those not caught up in political drama and lies who base their opinions on persuasive politicians. They will see a split screen with the same story told by the left and the right. The goal is to expose the deceitful news articles and headlines and eventually reduce the gap between the two preferences.
